July 2005 Holy cow! Where has the time gone! It’s JULY! I thought I was finished with revisions, but are we ever really finished? I have almost three full chapters written in Leave the Light On, which is a massive feat in itself, since I’ve not been able to write on a regular basis. My niece, Taylor, came from North Carolina to stay with us for two weeks. Wow, how weird that was to have a girlie in the house. I’m usually the only XX person in a houseful of XYs. Outnumbered but not outranked.

I also have a bit of exciting news. I have recently accepted representation from Deidre Knight of The Knight Agency. (www.knightagency.net) It still doesn’t seem real, even though I just mailed my signed contract back! Deidre and I are a great fit. Fate had a hand in this union, I have no doubt.

Check back for pictures from Reno!

May 2005 The past two months have been very busy. I began the querying process hoping to find the perfect agent and I started planning for my trip to Reno at the end of July. RWA National conference, baby. Reno, here I come. Now, if I could just get Mark off his ass again to help me update my website, my life would almost be complete!

March 14, 2005 Happy birthday to me! Wow, a whole year has gone by. I’ve finished Driving Mercedes and am currently in midst of revisions. It has also been a whole year since I’ve done anything to my website. Bad Mel. I recently started writing newest sassy southern romance, Leave the Light On. Excerpt from chapter one will be posted soon.

July 26, 2004 The new site is up and running. I'm headed to Dallas for the Romance Writers of America 24th Annual National Conference. Look for me (I'll be the cute chick exuding all the confidence). I'm leaving my husband home alone with both boys and in the middle of a remodel project... hoping that when I return it's complete and there's no dust en la casa at all. A girl can dream, can't she?

June 17, 2004 Wow, Mark figures out some rudimentary php and gets the includes working. Neato. Now you can actually use the navigation. More goodness to come.

March 14, 2004 Mark finally gets off his ass and works on my site again once I go to bed. I will give him this, though, he did leave me alone all day to let me write and putter around online, a grand birthday present. Just a shade better than his pancakes.
